About
Step inside one of the most extraordinary museums in the world! Inside you'll find Sweden's royal flagship Vasa, built to fight the Kingdom of Poland in the 17th century, but sunk on its maiden voyage before it even had the chance to leave Stockholm harbor. Exactly 333 years after its short time above water it was successfully raised, then preserved and restored by Swedish divers and scientists. The Vasa Museum – on the island of Djurgården in Stockholm – displays the world’s only intact 17th-century warship. This unique experience will excite everyone from amateur historians to daydreaming little ones.
