Barcelona Christopher Columbus Monument Walking Tour

Barcelona Christopher Columbus Monument Walking Tour

Barcelona spent centuries with its back to the sea - then built a monument that got almost everything about facing it wrong. This self-guided quest starts at the last surviving gate of the medieval city and ends at the water, tracing seven puzzles across three real locations where a plaque, an inscription, or a signature tells a story different from what most visitors assume. Along the way you'll find a customs house that misspells its own purpose, the true builder of a monument whose designer usually gets all the credit, and the most photographed finger in Barcelona - pointing the wrong way. A 60-minute walk for curious travelers who like their history a little contested. - Start at Barcelona's only surviving medieval gate - Solve seven puzzles across three real locations, ending at the harbour - Uncover the true story behind the Columbus Monument's best-known inaccuracies - A flexible 60-minute self-guided experience, bookable the same day
