Private 6-hour excursion to Stonehenge from London with Hotel Pick Up
Venture into one of the most iconic and well-known archaeological sites in the world. You will enjoy the views of this incredible and cultural landscape on the way. This incredible monument is located on the plain of Salisbury, a 40-tonne set of rocks that was built more than 5000 years ago. During the tour, you will see some of the local landmarks such as Stonehenge and Avebury or another wonderful site, a prehistoric graveyard called The Sanctuary at Stonehenge World Heritage Site. This is a fascinating area filled with thousands of ancient stones, many with inscriptions and markings which you’ll be able to see as you walk around. The stones are thought to have been erected by Neolithic people living in the Bronze Age. They were placed around four large pits and have been variously interpreted as mortuary or ritual monuments or as boundary markers.
