See an original document signed by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison and an exhibit and intimate account of Charles Paquet, an enslaved mulatto and master builder components. Explore the Education Center displaying the 1811 Slave Revolt and the Rost Home Colony/Freedman’s Bureau exhibits. The Legacy Room showcases original artifacts and documents from the family members. Destrehan Plantation is only 30 minutes from New Orleans and 10 minutes from the New Orleans International Airport, and your tour includes pickup from most centrally located New Orleans locations.
