Seize the morning and explore Monte Albán from Oaxaca
This tour combines archaeology and nature as you walk among the temples, palaces, and other structures representing the greatest social, political, and religious power at Monte Albán. This site was the ancient capital of the Zapotec people and was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO. The excursion primarily explores the Great Ceremonial Plaza, where the tour guide discusses the history, knowledge, beliefs, customs, and traditions of the Zapotec people, and there is free time for further self explorations or just connecting with nature. In addition to all this, it is enjoyed the best panoramic view of the Oaxaca Valley because this Great Ceremonial Plaza lies on top of the most commanding mountain in town and there one can sense the power bestowed upon ancient Zapotec priests and rulers that enabled them to control the region for more than twelve centuries. When it comes to learning, discovering, enjoying this tour is the choice you where looking for.
