Kyoto Early Morning Temple Walk with Photos Taken for You
This tour covers Fushimi Inari, the Arashiyama bamboo grove and Kinkaku-ji in a single morning, starting early enough that you walk the torii gates and the bamboo path before the day's crowds fill them. What makes it different is that your guide photographs you at every stop, using your own phone. Most couples come home from Kyoto with selfies and pictures of each other taken separately. Here you get pictures of yourselves together, in the places you actually came to see, taken by someone who knows where the light falls. The group is capped at 8 people and we travel by public transport, so you also get a sense of how the city moves in the morning. Your guide is a local English speaker who can tell you what the torii gates are for and who paid for them, not just where to stand.
