Orangerie Museum Tour with an Artist
We offer curated tours led by art historians and artists. You’ll experience the Musée de l’Orangerie not just as a museum, but as an emotional and artistic journey. This is where Claude Monet’s monumental Water Lilies come to life—not simply as paintings, but as immersive environments designed to evoke stillness, healing, and the passage of time. We explore how Monet shaped the architecture of the space to match his vision, and what these works meant in a postwar France. But the experience doesn’t end there. Together, we uncover the fascinating transformation of the building—from imperial greenhouse to artistic sanctuary—and delve into the Jean Walter and Paul Guillaume collection, featuring works by Picasso, Modigliani, Matisse, and more. Led by a guide who is also a professional visual artist, this tour blends storytelling, historical depth, and aesthetic insight.
