Anaga Enchanted Forest Hiking Tour. El Pijaral.
Join this off-the-beaten-path guided hike in Anaga, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Start from a remote, picturesque authentic village in the wild northeast of Tenerife (1-hour transfer from Santa Cruz de Tenerife). Over 5.5 km with 350 m of elevation gain, the trail offers spectacular views of dramatic mountains, the Atlantic Ocean, and an incredibly beautiful, rugged shoreline. Walk through enchanting mixed forests and discover exclusive, non-public viewpoints that most visitors never reach — at one of them, enjoy close encounters with fearless endemic birds like the stunning Tenerife Blue Chaffinch and the bold local Robin, which approach very near since they’re unafraid of people. This peaceful route sees very few tourists. It includes a short stretch of the protected official Pijaral path — your guide handles all necessary permits. Experience the untouched magic of Anaga in near solitude.
