The hike heads south towards Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, following a scenic coastal route with beautiful beaches and occasional sections of easy rock scrambling. Encounters with baboons are common and often provide memorable wildlife experiences. After a rest at Cape Point, the route continues to the historic lighthouse before following a well-maintained boardwalk to the famous Cape of Good Hope south-westernmost point of Africa. The trail is particularly renowned for its unrivalled views overlooking the pristine waters and dramatic cliffs of Diaz Beach.
