Osaka: Kendo Samurai Training Experience

Learn the basics of Kendo, a Japanese martial art with more than 400 years of history rooted in Samurai swordsmanship. Visit a Kendo dojo and change into a Kendo uniform and hakama. You’ll also have a photo session wearing the traditional outfit. During the experience, learn about the history of Kendo, along with its etiquette, manners, and discipline. Under the guidance of a Kendo Master, learn the basic movements and techniques using a bamboo sword called a shinai. You’ll then put on full Kendo armor and practice basic strikes and traditional techniques. Finish the experience with a friendly Kendo match against other participants or a sparring session with the Kendo Master.
